Integrated Home Care
The integrated home assistance service consists of interventions to be provided to citizens in order to favor permanence in their living environment, avoiding institutionalization and hospitalization and allowing them a satisfactory relationship life through a complex of social and welfare services and health.
TYPE
This activity has a wide range of services, such as: crèche and micro-nursery, multifunctional social centre, family home, educational community, shelter for women who have suffered violence, hotel house, community for non self-sufficient people.
PERFORMANCE
The service includes social-welfare and health services which are divided into areas of need. It is mainly aimed at people affected by chronic disabling and/or progressive-terminal diseases. The service may include services such as:

Assistance to the person in carrying out normal daily activities;

nursing;

Rehabilitative and reactivating, to be carried out under the supervision of medical personnel;

Support for personal mobility;

Psychological support.
ORGANIZATION
The residential and semi-residential service must be articulated in such a way as to guarantee maximum usability by all citizens, providing for the presence of the service for each of the territorial areas.
PERSONAL
For this type of activity, given that there are many of them, different professional figures are envisaged such as:

Professionals with specific training on educational and psycho-pedagogical issues relating to the developmental age;

Social health worker, more commonly called O.S.S..
